To configure your iPhone to check OSU e-mail:
1.Click on the Settings icon.
2.Click on the Mail, Contacts, Calendars icon.
3.Click on Add Account...
4.Click on Other.
5.In the "Name" field, enter your name.
6.In the "Address" field, enter your e-mail address, in the form lastname.#@osu.edu .
7.In the "Password" field, enter the password for your OSU e-mail account -- the same password used for logging in to OSU Webmail, Carmen, BuckeyeLink and other online services.
8.Click on the "Description" field. The contents of the "Address" field will be copied to the "Description" field, but the contents of this field can be whatever you want. A good choice would be something like OSU E-mail.
9.Click the Save button.
10.On the next page that loads, select POP.
11.For the Incoming Mail Server the "Host Name" should be pop.service.ohio-state.edu .
12.For the Incoming Mail Server the "User Name" should be your OSU Internet username. (Typically in the format lastname.#)
13.For the Incoming Mail Server the "Password" should be automatically filled in with what you entered on the previous page (though it will appear as dots). If it wasn't, enter your OSU e-mail password here.
14.For the Outgoing Mail Server use the AT&T outgoing mail (SMTP) server: cwmx.com
15.For the Outgoing Mail Server the "User Name" should be blank.
16.For the Outgoing Mail Server the "Password" should be blank.
Click on the Save button at the top of the window. The iPhone will check the e-mail information and verify that it's been entered correctly. After the e-mail information had be verified and saved click on the Home button at the bottom of the screen.
