The Autorun for USB Devices can certainly help you a lot in accessing the content of the device faster and easier. But for most of the people, this feature is useless and can become annoying at times. Windows doesnt provide a direct option to disable this feature but we can do it with a simple hack.
•Go to Run and type "gpedit.msc". This will open the Group Policy Editor.
•From there,go to Computer Configuration-> Administrative Templates->Windows Components ->AutoPlay Policies and double click on "Turn Off Autoplay".
•This brings up a new dialog box like the one shown above. Mark the "Enabled" radio button and click on apply.
Plug in a USB device to see the hack in action!
